ONONDAGA, N.Y. — The Central New York Best Places to Work Awards breakfast on Thursday morning recognized 24 Central New York companies.
A crowd of nearly 250 people attended the event at the SRC Arena on the Onondaga Community College campus.
The awards honored 12 organizations in the 5-50 employees category. Open Atelier Architects, ISSI Technology Professionals, and Taitem Engineering took the top three spots. The other honorees, in order, were: Pinnacle Investments, ABC Creative Group, CPS Recruitment, Gale-Gale & Hunt, Metro Fitness, Empire Crane Company, Delmonico Insurance Agency, HOLT Architects, and Lend Lease Construction.

A dozen more companies won awards in the more than 50 employees category. Prudential ranked first, followed by G&C Food Distributors, and Bankers Healthcare Group in the second and third spots, respectively. The other honorees, in order, were: Hematology Oncology Associates of CNY; Dermody, Burke & Brown, CPAs; Delta Engineers, Architects, & Land Surveyors; Food Bank of Central New York; Usherwood Office Technologies; Bond, Schoeneck & King; DUMAC Business Systems; INFICON; and Generations Bank.
The event was presented by the Business Journal News Network and produced by BizEventz. They partnered with Research & Marketing Strategies, Inc. (RMS) to conduct the CNY Best Places to Work survey. The study identifies and recognizes the best places of employment in Central New York, based upon a survey of employees to gauge workplace satisfaction. In addition to being honored at the awards event, organizations received a report card of their individual findings.
