BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Broome County hotels saw a slight rise in overnight guests in February, as two other key indicators of business performance increased by more during the month.
The hotel-occupancy rate (rooms sold as a percentage of rooms available) in the county rose 1.4 percent to 51.3 percent in the second month of 2025, compared to February 2024, according to a report from STR, a Tennessee–based hotel market data and analytics company.
Revenue per available room (RevPar), an industry gauge that measures how much money hotels are bringing in per available room, jumped 10.1 percent to $56.34 in February versus the year-ago month.
