VESTAL, N.Y. — Binghamton University is hosting its ninth annual Health Fair this Wednesday.
The event, organized by the university’s Dining Services by Sodexo unit and the Department of Campus Recreation, will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center in the East Gym on its Vestal campus.
The Health Fair will feature more than 70 food vendors, community businesses, and other groups at the university. The event is also celebrating National Nutrition Month.

A new component to the Health Fair this year is an appearance by Jim Donovan, an educator and multi-platinum recording artist from the band Rusted Root. He will conduct three 20-minute drumming sessions as part of his World Drum Circle workshop.
Food vendors at the Health Fair will give away free food samples and information about their products, according to the release. Attendees can learn about health and wellness by participating in free health screenings, exercise sessions, and cooking demos.
The event is open to the public, with no cost to attend.
