UTICA, N.Y. — Citing a resurgence of COVID-19 in the areas it serves, Adirondack Bank plans to shift to drive-thru service only at its branches beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7.
In addition, the bank will “temporarily” close its Main Street, Saranac Lake and Main Street, Lake Placid branches, along with the branch at 185 Genesee St. in Utica.
The changes will remain in place “until further notice.”

Utica–based Adirondack Bank said in a Thursday news release that it’s making the changes “as we continue to see an increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the counties we serve.”
Lobby service for special account needs by appointment will be available only at the following locations:
- Boonville – 13150 State Rt. 12
- Herkimer – 214 N. Washington St.
- Lake Placid – 38 Hadjis Way
- Rome – 1709 Black River Blvd.
- Utica – 2817 Genesee St.
Adirondack Bank noted that its online-banking service, mobile banking, telephone banking, LiveChat, night-drop depositories, and ATMs will continue to operate normally. More information is available at adkbank.com, including a list of drive-thru and select regional locations, the bank said.
