UTICA, N.Y. — The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) imaging department is opening a new MVHS Imaging Center at the Medical Office Building located at 601 State St., suite 101, in Utica.

The new facility was set to begin providing imaging services on Monday, Oct. 27, MVHS said on Friday.

All imaging services previously provided at the Faxton campus have been transitioned to the new imaging center. All patients with scheduled appointments have been or will be notified of the change in location.

As of Oct. 27, the MVHS Imaging Department at Faxton will be temporarily closed in order to complete the setup and operational transition of the new facility, with the goal of resuming limited imaging services at Faxton in the near future.

These services will include CT (computed tomography), ultrasound, and general x-ray on a reduced schedule once operations are ready to reopen. PET (positron emission tomography) scans will be available only at the downtown Medical Office Building location.
