
Vera House has announced the appointment of Rebecca Shiroff as senior director of strategic partnerships and intergovernmental affairs. She brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in PR, fundraising, and community partnership development. In this role, Shiroff will lead government relations, corporate and foundation partnerships, and high-level community engagement strategies. She will also work closely with Vera House’s leadership and board of directors to expand philanthropic support, strengthen advocacy efforts, and deepen collaborative ties across Central New York. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Shiroff has been a dedicated community leader, serving on numerous nonprofit boards, including the Jim & Juli Boeheim Foundation, Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education, Hope for Heather, the MOST Foundation, Town of Dewitt Parks and Rec./Challenger Field of Dreams, and in 2024 established the Shiroff Family Mental Health Advocacy Fund through the Upstate Foundation.
