CLAY, N.Y. — Onondaga County on Monday issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for design-build services for a new industrial-treatment train (ITT) at the Oak Orchard wastewater-treatment plant in the town of Clay.
The issued RFQ is part of a two-step procurement process to advance a new ITT, according to the announcement.
The RFQ calls for, in part, the new ITT to include advanced treatment of industrial wastewater, reclaimed water facilities and an industrial wastewater-pump station and associated conveyance means. It must be designed and constructed to treat industrial wastewater generated by industrial users located in and around the White Pine Commerce Park in the town of Clay.

A critical component of that approach has been our effort to upgrade and build the necessary wastewater infrastructure at the Oak Orchard Treatment Plant,” Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said in the announcement. “With the issuing of this RFQ, our community has taken yet another significant step forward to fully maximize this transformation project.”
Onondaga County will accept requests for qualifications through 2 p.m. on Sept. 26, per the RFQ document. A link to the document is available online.
