The Reading League — a Syracuse–based national nonprofit whose mission is to advance the awareness, understanding, and use of evidence-aligned reading instruction — has appointed Alexander Henn, managing partner at Cypress Financial Consultants, to its board of directors. Henn is an accomplished financial advisor and community leader with more than two decades of expertise in financial management and philanthropy. Originally from Long Island, Henn relocated to Central New York to attend Syracuse University, graduating in 2002 and making the area his home. He began his successful 13-year career with Equitable Advisors (formerly AXA Advisors) before moving into his managing partner position with Cypress Financial Consultants, a group within Equitable Advisors. Henn understands the need for collaboration between nonprofit organizations, corporations, and individuals — making him a valuable asset to The Reading League board of directors.
