WEBB, N.Y. — Mohawk Valley Health System’s (MVHS) Town of Webb Medical Office has reopened after closing temporarily for mold mitigation, the health-care provider announced.
MVHS closed the office in early February after testing by an environmental testing company which showed high levels of mold in certain areas of the building. The decision to close was made after MVHS leadership consulted with infection control and a critical-care pulmonologist.
The Town of Webb owns the building and oversaw the mold mitigation, which MVHS funded. During the closure, patients and staff were redirected to other MVHS offices or offered telemedicine options.
