UTICA, N.Y. — Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) and Slocum-Dickson Medical Group (SDMG) have announced a partnership that will allow shared access to medical information to improve the care of patients that utilize both facilities.
The organizations say that SDMG will join MVHS’s Community Connect Epic platform in a partnership that strengthens collaboration between the area’s largest hospital system and largest multi-specialty private-group health practice.
“This partnership underscores our shared commitment to providing the best possible care for our community,” MVHS President/CEO Darlene Stromstad said in a statement. “SDMG cares for a significant number of patients in our region, and we presently care for many of the same patients. By connecting with SDMG through Epic Community Connect, not only do we further solidify the relationship between the two organizations, but we can ensure providers across both organizations have access to the most up-to-date patient information, leading to more informed decisions and improved outcomes.”
