ROME — Black River Systems Co. Inc. was recently awarded a $16.3 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract from the U.S. Air Force for future architecture for national and tactical operations and missions software and reports.
This pact provides for the research, development, and maturation of moving-target indictor, tracking, sensor-resource management, data fusion, and sensemaking capabilities that are critical to national and tactical operations and missions, according to a Sept. 17 U.S. Department of Defense contract announcement.
Work will be performed in Rome and is expected to be completed by Nov. 17, 2028. This contract was a competitive acquisition, and two offers were received, per the contract announcement. The Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome is the contracting activity.
