MORRISVILLE, N.Y. — SUNY Morrisville announced it saw an 11 percent increase in total enrollment for the fall 2024 semester.
The rise is a combination of returning students along with a 5 percent increase in new-student enrollment. SUNY Morrisville said it builds on last year’s 29 percent increase in new students.
“We are thrilled to welcome a larger and more diverse group of students this fall,” Caleb McGuire, director of admissions, said in a statement. “This growth reflects the hard work of our entire team and college who have dedicated themselves to fostering an inclusive, student-centered environment that encourages both academic excellence and practical, real-world experience.”

While New York residents make up the largest portion of the incoming class, SUNY Morrisville also has students from 22 other states and five countries including China, Portugal, Northern Ireland, and New Zealand.
“This enrollment growth is a testament to SUNY Morrisville’s ability to meet the evolving needs of today’s students and take an individualized approach with every single student,” Alex Bodenham, the college’s VP of enrollment management and communications and marketing, said.
SUNY Morrisville has a total enrollment of about 2,000 students and offers more than 50 bachelor’s and associate-degree programs in fields including agriculture, technology, business, social sciences, and liberal arts. Its Norwich campus offers associate-degree programs to commuter students.
