SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Frontier Airlines on Friday launched its new nonstop flights from
Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) directly to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
The service is scheduled to operate three times weekly, the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) said in its Friday announcement.

Friday’s inaugural flight departed SYR at 9:50 a.m. and arrived just after 12 p.m. atATL.
Travelers departing Syracuse on the inaugural flight were treated to a celebration at gate 20. It included decorations, baked goods, giveaways, and a water–cannon salute, SRAA said.
Frontier now operates nonstop flights to five destinations from SYR including Atlanta, Georgia; Denver, Colorado; Fort Myers and Orlando in Florida; and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
“We appreciate Frontier Airlines’ leadership team seeing value in expanding their footprint here in Syracuse,” Jason Terreri, executive director of SRAA, said in the announcement. “Atlanta is one of the top destinations for SYR travelers and we’re excited to increase nonstop connectivity to this key market.”
