SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Digital Hyve, a Syracuse–based digital-marketing agency, has opened an office in Rochester.
The location at 17 Prince St. in Rochester opened Nov. 2, Jeff Knauss, company co-founder and co-owner, tells BJNN.
The agency services “numerous” accounts in Rochester, and strengthening client relationships spurred the decision to open an office in that market.

“It makes sense for our shop to expand. As we’ve continued to build new relationships and clientele, it will be easier to service them and grow our community involvement in Rochester,” Knauss says.
The firm’s Rochester–area clients include Monroe Community College and the Rochester Institute of Technology, he adds.
Prior to moving to Syracuse, Knauss spent five years living in Rochester, working in the advertising department at television station 13WHAM.
“Opening an office in Rochester feels a bit like a homecoming,” Knauss notes.
The Digital Hyve currently has 16 full-time employees, with plans to bring on more employees over the next three months.
Staffing the Rochester office will be part of that talent-acquisition process, and is a big priority for the Digital Hyve, according to Sarah Mastrangelo, the firm’s director of human resources and accounting.
As of now Knauss and Matt Read, the firm’s COO, are working in the Rochester office, but the company wants to hire two additional full-time employees during the first quarter of 2017, Knauss says.
