HAMILTON, N.Y. — Madison County Public Health will hold its second annual Healthy Workforce Business Conference on Oct. 4 at the White Eagle Conference Center in Hamilton. Registration for the event is now open.
Madison County Public Health became an official affiliate of the Total Worker Health program from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2019 and held its first conference. The program, developed by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) aims to promote the safety and health of workers. More than 28 organizations and businesses participated in the first conference.
“Employers today are facing more challenges than ever to maintain a high-performing, healthy workforce,” Madison County Public Health Director Eric Faisst said in a press release. “We are excited to bring the conference back this year to address topics impacting leadership, wellness, and safety of our modern, post-pandemic workforce. This is a valuable opportunity for workforce leaders to gain knowledge and tangible techniques that advance overall worker health.”

An advisory committee with representatives from NIOSH, Madison County Rural Health Council, BRiDGES, Working Solutions, Iroquois Healthcare Association, and the Partnership for Community Development guided this year’s conference tracks and session topic areas.
