SYRACUSE — CenterState CEO is overhauling its annual business show with a change in date, relocation to downtown Syracuse, and new partner to help develop marketing and bring in speakers.
This year’s show will take place Oct. 25 at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center at the Oncenter. CenterState previously held the show in March at the New York State Fairgrounds.
CenterState is also partnering with Syracuse–based Galaxy Communications to upgrade the show, which is in its 20th year and is titled the Time Warner Cable Business Class CenterState Business Showcase.

Galaxy, a radio-station owner that also has an events division, Galaxy Events, is providing financial backing to bring speakers to the show. Those speakers include former Syracuse University running back Floyd Little and Ben & Jerry’s Homemade, Inc. co-founder Jerry Greenfield.
Galaxy Communications will also advertise the show on its 14 radio stations in Syracuse, Oswego, and Utica. This year’s show is the first covered under a two-year contract Galaxy signed with CenterState.
“We wanted to bring something bigger and better to the business community,” says CenterState Vice President of Chamber Services Jane Amico.
