AUBURN — Cayuga Community College (CCC) is leading a daylong trip on March 22 to three area manufacturers as part of its Entrepreneurial Road Trip series.
The event will include stops at Welch Allyn of Skaneateles Falls and Tessy Plastics and 4MPrecision in the Auburn area. Participants will learn about operations and workforce needs in manufacturing and hear from industry leaders on how they started, grew their businesses, and are managing in today’s economy.
“The road trip supports the college’s goal or supporting revitalization of the region’s economy through the promotion of entrepreneurship in all of its forms,” CCC Assistant Professor Sheila Myers, coordinator of experiential learning and organizer of the trip, said in a news release. “Hearing the stories of successful entrepreneurs motivates us to learn what steps we need to take to create our own career paths and opportunities.”
