SYRACUSE — A website launched in Syracuse in October that now has more than 4,000 users won the first place $25,000 prize in the annual Panasci Business Plan Competition at Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management.
The site, Fiesta Frog (www.fiestafrog.com), automatically updates users about what is going on in their areas and allows promoters to advertise events, according to the university. The service is expanding to other college towns and metropolitan areas now.
This year’s Panasci competition featured 16 teams of 38 students from programs across campus.

The competition’s Fetner Prize for Sustainable Entrepreneurship and the Holtz Prize for Global Enterprise, both worth $5,000, went to WaterPort, which has created a portable, self-sustained rainwater harvesting and filtration system.
