BREWERTON — Paragon Environmental Construction won a contract from Sunoco to upgrade filling stations recently acquired by the company across upstate New York.
Paragon, an environmental and construction firm based in Brewerton, will perform upgrades at the stations, including tank and piping improvements. The company will remove older tanks and pipes and install new fuel storage systems at the stations, which stretch from Buffalo to Albany.
“Also, Sunoco selected us to serve in an oversight role for other parts of the project, such as instances where a new canopy will be built at the same time as we are installing new tanks,” Peter Paragon, company owner, said in a news release. “For Sunoco, this means they have one contractor they can call to ask questions or receive updates about the project’s progress. This also means that all of the work conducted at these project sites will be performed to our stringent health and safety procedures.”
