CLAY — Tops Friendly Markets has opened its third gas station in Central New York.
The supermarket chain opened its new Central New York gas station in front of its grocery store at 3803 Brewerton Road in Clay. It now operates a total of 46 fueling stations in its territories of upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania.
Tops’ new station will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. It includes four self-service pumps, as well as a Tops Xpress convenience store.

The fueling location joins other Syracuse–area Tops gas stations at 2265 Downer St. in Van Buren and 4600 E. Genesee St. in DeWitt. Tops plans a grand opening at the new station tomorrow at 2 p.m.
Tops is headquartered in Williamsville, near Buffalo. It operates 133 supermarkets, including 127 company-owned stores and six franchise locations. Its parent company, Tops Holding Corp., reported net income of $9.5 million in the second quarter of 2012, up from $300,000 during the same period of the year before.
