SYRACUSE — PsyQic, a startup founded by Syracuse University students, has launched its app for iOS devices.
The free social-gaming app allows users to share predictions on sports, politics, television, movies, business, and more. Users can compete with others and establish themselves as experts, according to the company.
The app calculates a score for users based on the accuracy of their predictions.

The company plans to monetize the app in the future by driving sales of content through the affiliate programs of services like iTunes and Amazon. The firm could also add sponsored prediction questions in the future and sell data for market research, company leaders say.
