ITHACA — Andrew Gil, an associate at Ithaca–based Holt Architects, is the new chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council’s upstate New York chapter.
The Upstate chapter covers the entire state of New York outside Manhattan and Long Island and is based in Syracuse. It aims to help develop and implement green building concepts and technologies.
Gil first joined the chapter’s board of directors last year. He graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1986 and ran a small practice until 1998.
