SYRACUSE — M&T Bank has appointed James (Jim) Fox to its Directors Advisory Council for the Central New York region. The council meets regularly throughout the year to provide M&T management with insight on a wide range of business, client, and community issues, the bank says.

Over a 29-year career with O’Brien & Gere, he has overseen programs for Fortune 100 clients involving the design and construction of industrial facilities, environmental, energy, and water infrastructure projects. Fox is also a member of the board of directors of CenterState CEO, the Business Council of New York State, and the Manufacturers Association of Central New York.
“As one of Central New York’s most successful business leaders, Jim Fox brings us a wealth of knowledge of the local economy and an understanding of complex community issues,” Allen Naples, M&T Bank regional president for Central New York, said in a news release. “His guidance will help us to continue our commitment to grow and lend in this region.”
