UTICA, N.Y. — The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, at 71 North Genesee St. in Utica, will hold a ribbon-cutting event on the evening of Friday, Dec. 18 with the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce.
Swifty’s Restaurant is sponsoring the grand opening, to be held from 4-9 p.m., according to an email from the chamber. The event will include tours of the hotel and guest rooms.
The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, developed and managed by Visions Hotels, opened to customers on Nov. 19, according to its Facebook page. It has 79 guest rooms and an indoor pool.
