RODMAN, N.Y. — New York State Senator Patty Ritchie announced she has secured $50,000 to help the Town of Rodman, located in Jefferson County, to improve its Gordon E. Cole Memorial Park.
“Since its establishment in 2007, the Gordon E. Cole Memorial Park has been used by community members for everything from family picnics and church functions to baseball games and other athletic activities,” Town of Rodman Supervisor Gary Stinson said in a news release issued by Ritchie’s office. “In recent years we have worked tirelessly to continue to make improvements to the park — adding new equipment and making other changes that benefit those who use it. This funding secured by Senator Ritchie will help us to continue that work, and we cannot thank her enough for her support.”
The town will use the funding to make improvements to the little league baseball field and pavilion at the park. Funds will also be used to add trees and benches throughout the park, according to the release.
