ALEXANDRIA BAY N.Y. — New York State Police in Alexandria Bay arrested Luke J. Kampnich, 44, for two counts of 4th degree grand larceny, a felony.
Kampnich, who is incarcerated at the Lakeview Correctional Facility in Chautauqua County, is accused of accepting and cashing two checks totaling $1,350 from the victim for work to be completed on the victim’s camp in the town of Clayton, the NYS Police said in a release. The work was never completed.
Kampnich was arraigned in the town of Clayton Court and was held without bail. He was released back to the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
