SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Health Department is warning area residents about potential COVID-19 exposures at three area retailers on certain days and times.
They include the Rite Aid store at 519 Butternut St. in Syracuse, the Dollar Tree location at 3130 Erie Boulevard East in DeWitt, and the Target store at 340 Towne Drive in Fayetteville.
The positive individuals were wearing a mask, the department said. Members of the public who shopped at the following stores on the days and times listed may have been exposed:

- Monday, April 27 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 28 between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Dollar Tree, 3130 Erie Boulevard East in DeWitt, where a shopper had COVID-19
- Tuesday, April 28 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Target at 340 Towne Drive in Fayetteville, where an employee had COVID-19
- Tuesday, April 28 between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The health department investigates all COVID-19 cases in Onondaga County and identifies and notifies all close contacts.
Anyone who may have been exposed at the locations listed should monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, and/or difficulty breathing for 14 days after their potential exposure.
If symptoms do develop, stay home, and call your doctor for further guidance about testing. If you are elderly, have underlying medical conditions, or are immunocompromised, call your doctor early even if your illness is mild. In an emergency, the department says call 911.
