ONONDAGA, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department says it’s investigating a Thursday morning fire inside a barn at Beak & Skiff Apple Orchard at 2707 Route 80 in the town of Onondaga.
The flames were reported just after 7 a.m. when a grounds keeper arriving for work discovered the fire and called 911, the department said in a news release.
When firefighters showed up, they saw smoke and flames coming from the first-floor and second-floor windows of an apple barn.
