SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) on Thursday announced that all rental-car operations at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) will be temporarily relocated.
All rental car pickups and drop offs will be relocated from the first level of the parking garage to the overflow lot as of Oct. 12.
The relocation will allow the airport to complete improvements in the parking garage. The airport expects the effort will continue for about one month.

Working Another Job While on FMLA Leave is Not Necessarily Misconduct
Imagine this. You have an employee who is on leave pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and you discover that the employee is working for another employer.
“While we understand this temporary relocation is an inconvenience, this project is consistent with our goal to continue to improve the passenger experience for those who fly through SYR,” Jason Terreri, executive director of Hancock Airport, said.
A combination of static and electronic signage will be in place to direct both arriving and departing passengers to the temporary rental-car location, SRAA said.
