SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh announced that a road reconstruction project began Wednesday on East Seneca Turnpike on the city’s south side.
Crews will start milling (removing the top layer of existing pavement) on the East Seneca Turnpike hill from Brighton Avenue to South Salina Street.
Milling is expected to be completed this week with paving and restriping following next week, the mayor’s office said. Temporary lane closures will used during the effort and detours will be marked. Project timeframes are contingent on favorable weather.
