BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce held its 58th annual dinner last Thursday, May 12 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Binghamton and honored five individuals for their accomplishments in the areas of business and community leadership.
The chamber’s 2022 Entrepreneur of the Year is Jacob Kumpon of KLAW Industries. He was selected for exemplifying leadership and entrepreneurial skills, showing a willingness to take risks, and demonstrating exceptional vision.
Patrick Snyder, president of Logowise, is the chamber’s 2022 Small Business Person of the Year. He was honored for his determination and drive as a small-business owner, showing consistent employee growth, a commitment to staff and customers, and innovative approaches to doing business.

The 2022 Distinguished Chamber Co-Volunteers of the Year are Don Entwistle of Broome-Tioga BOCES and Joe Julian of SUNY Broome. The award recognizes their dedication to the chamber. With the chamber’s Bridge Run in its 12th year, Entwistle and Julian ensure the event has volunteers from their respective schools as well as volunteering at the race themselves.
The Greater Binghamton Chamber also selected Ellen Feldman, retired from IBM in Endicott, as its 2022 Civic Leader of the Year. She started at IBM in 1978 as an entry-level programmer and retired in 2013 as global IBM VP. She then volunteered for a number of nonprofit organizations including serving on the ACHIEVE Board in a variety of roles. She also served as a certified SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) counselor, board president of Animal Care Sanctuary, and assisted with the initiation of an education-based program in Union-Endicott and Johnson City.
