SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc. on Monday announced that tickets are now on sale for the 16th edition of the Downtown Living Tour, set for Sept. 24 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The self-guided walking tour gives tour attendees “inside access” to some of the newest addresses in downtown Syracuse.
Tickets are on sale for $15 online at the Downtown Committee’s website through Sept. 22. Tickets will also be available for purchase for $15 (cash or check only) at the Downtown Committee’s information booth, set up in Perseverance Park from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the day of the event.

Perseverance Park is located along South Salina Street, between West Washington and West Fayette streets in downtown Syracuse, near the office building One Lincoln Center.
People purchasing tickets by Sept. 14 will have all tour tickets and materials mailed to them, including an official tour program and shoe covers, the Downtown Committee said. Those who receive their materials will be able to start the tour on their own at any official tour stop on the day of the event.
Anyone purchasing tickets Sept. 15 or later will be able to pick up their tour ticket and materials at the Downtown Committee’s information booth.
Downtown’s population now stands at more than 4,300 residents, more than double what it was 15 years ago, per the Downtown Committee. The number of downtown residential units has increased 108 percent since 2010.
Today, downtown Syracuse has 2,736 completed units, with 166 under construction, and 332 more in the planning stage, the Downtown Committee added.
Tour stops
This year’s Downtown Living Tour will include nine stops:
- The Gere Building, located at 121 E. Water St.
- Piper Phillips Residences, located at 227 W. Fayette St.
- Montgomery House 315, located at 311-315 Montgomery St.
- Apartments on Warren, located at 413 S. Warren St.
- Merrell-Soule Lofts, located at 600 N. Franklin St.
- Erie Canal Museum, located at 318 Erie Blvd. E.
- Onondaga Historical Association, located at 321 Montgomery St.
- Everson Museum of Art, located at 401 Harrison St.
- The MOST, located at 500 S. Franklin St.
The Tasting Room at Epicuse, located at 334 S. Salina St. serves as the official tour rest stop, the Downtown Committee said.
Participants can relax indoors or at the sidewalk café; get a free chair massage from Hand in Health Massage Therapy between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.; listen to music from a Symphoria woodwind quintet between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.; and participate in complimentary wine & whiskey sampling between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Public restrooms will also be available.
