The Reading League (TRL), based in Syracuse, has named Soledad Calvino as director of public relations, where she will lead national media strategy and shape public-relations campaigns. Her work will focus on amplifying TRL’s mission and impact. Before joining TRL, Calvino held communications and public-affairs roles across the federal government, with a focus on media relations, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement. She brings more than a decade of experience translating complex science and public policy into accessible messages for diverse audiences. Soledad holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in public and international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.
