CLAY, N.Y. — WellNow Urgent Care on Wednesday opened its newest facility at 3840 State Route 31 in Clay, its sixth Onondaga County office.

The company describes itself as “one of New York’s fastest growing urgent-care providers.” It offers treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., “with no appointment needed.”

The new WellNow location will provide medical treatment for ailments such as sprains, strains, colds and the flu, while also offering on-site X-rays, lab testing, and physicals. Patients are treated on a walk-in basis but may also check in online or view up-to-date facility wait times directly on the company’s homepage to help reduce wait times. It accepts most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Fidelis.

Employers can also visit WellNow for occupational medicine programs, the company said.

Besides the location on Route 31 in Clay, WellNow also operates Onondaga County offices at 7375 Oswego Road in Clay (referred to as the Liverpool location); two in DeWitt (6227 Thompson Road and 6870 E. Genesee St., referred to as the Fayetteville location); along with offices in Cicero and in Camillus.

In addition, WellNow has locations in Oswego, Auburn, Oneida, Utica, Rome, Oneonta, Ithaca, Big Flats, and Geneva, per its website.

Earlier this month, the company opened additional facilities in Watertown and in the Buffalo suburb of Cheektowaga. The firm is headquartered in the Buffalo area.
