OWEGO — Three Tioga County organizations that focus on economic development have rebranded as “TEAM Tioga.”
The agencies include the Tioga County Department of Economic Development and Planning (EDP), Tioga County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), and the Tioga County Local Development Corporation (LDC).
“Before TEAM Tioga, people only referred to us individually,” LeeAnn Tinney, director of Tioga County EDP, said in a news release. “Although we are known as different entities, we collaborate on so many projects that the lines tend to blur. This made us wonder, why not identify ourselves as one team?”
They unveiled their new look, brand, and name during the first week in January.
Madison Tinney, a freelance graphic designer based in the Owego area, developed the new brand strategy for the organizations.
TEAM Tioga in November selected Tinney to develop a branding and marketing strategy. Its elements include a “cohesive” TEAM Tioga identity, along with a social media and advertising campaign to “enhance awareness” of economic-development activities in Tioga County and across the region.
TEAM Tioga has also launched its Facebook page. The agencies will be sharing the new brand and logo at the Tioga Chamber annual dinner meeting, scheduled for Feb. 15.
