By Adam Rombel

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — We previously knew the Syracuse University men’s basketball team would play in the NIT Season Tip-off event in Brooklyn in late November.

Now, we know the Orange will play the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Wednesday, Nov. 27 after 7 p.m. at the Barclays Center, Syracuse basketball announced today. The contest between the two teams with orange as their primary color follows a 5 p.m. matchup between Mississippi and Penn State.

The NIT Season Tip-off championship game will take place Friday, Nov. 29 after 9 p.m., with Wednesday’s winners advancing to it. The consolation game, featuring Wednesday’s losers, is set for 7 p.m. Friday. All four contests will be televised on one of the ESPN family of networks.

Syracuse also announced it will host two NIT Season Tip-off preliminary games in the Carrier Dome. The Orange play Seattle U. on Saturday, Nov. 16, and Bucknell on Saturday, Nov. 23.
