SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Home and away games against Duke and Pittsburgh, a late February visit to North Carolina, and an early January ACC opener at Notre Dame are among the highlights of the 2018-19 Syracuse men’s basketball ACC schedule released Thursday.
The Cuse will host the Blue Devils on Saturday, Feb. 23 in a game set for either ESPN or ESPN2. Before that, Syracuse visits Duke on Monday, Jan. 14, televised on either ESPN or ESPNU.
The Orange ACC slate also includes home-and-away games with Boston College and Clemson.
The home portion of Syracuse’s ACC schedule also offers Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida State, Louisville, and Virginia.
The Orange road games also include Virginia Tech, N.C. State, and Wake Forest.
Syracuse begins its ACC schedule by visiting Notre Dame on Jan. 5, 2019 at Noon.
Including its non-conference schedule, Syracuse will go up against 11 programs that earned NCAA Tournament bids a season ago — Buffalo, Duke, Clemson, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, N.C. State, Ohio State, St. Bonaventure, Virginia, and Virginia Tech.
Syracuse was 23-14 a season ago and advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s “Sweet 16” regional semifinal round before losing to Duke. The Orange have all five starters returning from last year’s club.
Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim enters his 43rd season as head coach. He trails only Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski in wins among active Division I coaches.
