OSWEGO — The State University of New York (SUNY) Oswego Phoenix Center added to its audiovisual and technology capabilities as part of a renovation project.
The center, which offers credit courses, business consulting sessions, and professional development classes, added two smart podiums with computer, projection, and other equipment and a new large-screen television. The center also has new tables, chairs, paint, and carpet.
“Teaching methods are continuously evolving and these technology upgrades allow us to have a dynamic learning environment for our students,” Yvonne Petrella, dean of SUNY Oswego’s Division of Extended Learning, said in a news release. “Smart boards have been shown to increase attention of students, encourage involvement, and serve as a tool for educators to engage students of varied learning styles.”
