BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — New York State Police in Binghamton announced they have arrested two Broome County residents following a break-in at a residence on Wilson Hill Road in the town of Chenango.

Troopers say they began their investigation Aug. 11 after a homeowner reported that a known person entered their home without permission and stole tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of items. The investigation revealed that several of the items were sold to at least one pawn shop.

On Aug. 13, the State Police arrested Christina M. Martinez, age 28 of Johnson City, for the felony of 4th degree criminal possession of stolen property. She was processed and released on appearance tickets to the village of Johnson City Court on Aug. 19.

On Aug. 27, the State Police at Binghamton arrested Jamie M. Levene, age 44 of Binghamton, for the felony of 2nd degree burglary. Levene was already at the Broome County Jail for an unrelated crime with another agency. He was transported to the State Police building in Binghamton for processing and later returned to the Broome County Jail.
