SYRACUSE — St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center has announced the appointment of Vincent Kuss as director of development.
The appointment is effective Sept. 3, St. Joseph’s said in a news release.
In this role, Kuss is responsible for cultivating “major” prospective donors in “key” service lines and helping manage development operations, the hospital said.

Kuss brings to St. Joseph’s more than 11 years of health care and higher-education development experience, including annual and alumni giving, capital campaigns, major gifts, fundraising-events management, and public and donor relations.
He most recently served as executive director of the College of Medicine Foundation at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
Kuss holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from SUNY Cortland. He also earned his master’s degree in higher-education administration from Syracuse University and an MBA from Le Moyne College, according to St. Joseph’s.
