Renewed federal funding to benefit Syracuse Community Health Center, others

Syracuse Community Health Center (SCHC) at 819 S. Salina St. in Syracuse is expecting $5.7 million in federal funding that was restored for community health centers that are federally qualified health centers (FQHCs). Federally qualified health centers are community-based health-care providers that receive funds to provide primary-care services in underserved areas. Other FQHCs around New York shared a similar concern about the lack of federal funding.
