Dr. Kopko is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint-replacement surgery. He is skilled in primary and revision joint replacements of the hip and knee, fracture care, orthopedic trauma surgery, and non-operative management of osteoarthritis, according to SOS.

Kopko has a background in bioengineering and his research interests include blood conservation, early recovery/rehabilitation, and perioperative medical optimization.

Prior to joining SOS, Kopko completed a fellowship in joint replacement surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, part of the Harvard combined orthopedic program in Boston. He earned his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine, and his bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from Syracuse University.
