NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. — A new family medical practice has recently formally opened in New York Mills.

Anchor Family Medicine held a grand-opening ribbon cutting on Jan. 13 with the New Hartford Chamber of Commerce to officially open the new medical office.

The new family medicine practice serves patients of all ages. It’s located on the first floor of the former Fitness Mill Building, at 587 Main St. in New York Mills.

Dr. John Robertson and Kari Moorhead, physician assistant, have more than 25 years of combined practice experience.

Robertson served for eight years in the U.S. Navy before practicing for eight years with Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). Moorhead practiced for more than 10 years at Slocum-Dickson Medical Group, MVHS, and other organizations prior to joining Anchor Family Medicine.
