Leadership Greater Syracuse introduces 2019 class

By Journal Staff

Date:

DeWITT — Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS) welcomed its 29th class — the LGS Class of 2019 — at an orientation on Thursday evening at the Palace Theater in the Eastwood section of Syracuse.

Each year, DeWitt–based LGS selects a new class of about 50 to 55 people to participate in its yearlong training program to expose them to key community leaders and organizations and the most important issues facing the community. The program teaches participants about community leadership, empowerment, group dynamics, community opportunities, and trends.

“Central New Yorkers look to LGS for personal development and professional connections to serve the greater good,” Pam Brunet, LGS executive director and graduate of the LGS Class of 1998, said in a news release. “We are looking forward to connecting these individuals to the leaders in our community and empowering them with the knowledge they will use to make CNY better.”
