ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Hillside Family of Agencies (HFA) announced Christopher Peterson will soon join the organization as CFO.
His new position with the health, education, and human-services agency takes effect July 22, Hillside said in a news release.
Peterson is assuming the duties that Paul Perrotto had previously handled for Hillside, Brandie Cain, Hillside’s marketing manager, tells BJNN in an email. Perrotto retired on June 30, after 21 years with the organization.
As CFO, Peterson will provide fiscal analysis and oversight for Hillside, a multi-affiliate organization with budgeted operations of $138 million as of fiscal-year 2020. He will also be a member of Hillside’s chief executive team.
A resident of Webster in Monroe County, Peterson brings to Hillside nearly 25 years of experience in financial leadership, Hillside said. His experience includes 12 years as a member of the finance team of Rochester Regional Health (RRH) and the former Unity Health System.
As VP of finance, he managed RRH’s general accounting, reporting, payroll, grants, foundation, audit and treasury functions. Prior to joining Unity Health in 2007, he worked for MVP Health Care and for a medical system in his home state of Indiana.
Founded in 1837, Rochester–based Hillside Family of Agencies is one of the oldest family and youth non-profit human services organizations in the U.S. The organization provides child welfare, mental and physical health, youth development, juvenile justice, special education and developmental disabilities services across Central and Western New York, and in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Hillside says it served more than 14,000 youth and families in 2018.
