SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Haylor, Freyer & Coon (HF&C) on Thursday formally opened its new office on the top two floors of One Park Place at 300 S. State St. in Syracuse.
The firm previously operated at 231 Salina Meadows Parkway in the Salina Meadows Office Park off Buckley Road in the town of Salina.
It’s the “largest corporate move into downtown Syracuse since 2016,” the firm said, citing information from the City of Syracuse.

“We’re all excited to be in downtown Syracuse,” James Freyer, chairman and CEO of Haylor, Freyer & Coon, said is his remarks before the traditional ribbon cutting held during the firm’s open house.
CBD Construction of Syracuse handled the renovation work in the space, while King + King Architects, also of Syracuse, helped design the office space along with Dalpos Architects & Integrators.
“It really just helps us to continue to build on the momentum that we have in this community, certainly downtown but really in this region,” Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh said in his remarks.
Haylor, Freyer & Coon has a total of 185 employees, including 130 that work at the new downtown Syracuse space. Besides its headquarters, HF&C operates offices in Johnson City, Ithaca, Watertown, Rochester, and Schenectady, per its website.
Haylor, Freyer & Coon is occupying nearly 40,000 square feet on the top two floors of the building.
“We [envisioned] an office as we would build it out,” Freyer tells CNYBJ in an interview after the ribbon cutting “[We envisioned] an office for our employees today and our employees of the future.”
The office includes new furniture, workstations, desks that can rise to stand-up height, more natural light, a cafeteria area, a training area, and an internal stairway between the ninth and 10th floors.
