SYRACUSE, N.Y. — An eighth individual has died from COVID-19 in Onondaga County, the county’s Health Department reported Friday.
The person was a white man in his late 60s, who had underlying health conditions and had been hospitalized, the department said. As with all COVID-19 deaths, the department will not be releasing additional information for medical-privacy reasons.
Seven of the county’s eight deaths from the dangerous virus have occurred in the last nine days, including one death on Thursday.
