SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Health Department on Wednesday night announced that two customers at Sharkey’s Bar & Grill in Clay and one guest at a private party in Syracuse have tested positive for COVID-19.

The department is warning customers of Sharkey’s, located at 7240 Oswego Road, who were there between 4:30 and 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24.

The party took place at a private home on Boston Street in Syracuse on Saturday, Sept. 19 and the department is warning those who may have been there between 5:30 and 11 p.m. The gathering was open to the public, so the Health Department says it is unable to identify all who attended.

Onondaga County Health Department investigators are in the process of identifying and notifying all close contacts of the individuals who tested positive. Those who may have been exposed are asked to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the date of potential exposure.
