By Kevin Tampone

BALDWINSVILLE — The owner of a Baldwinsville–based business was one of 30 winners of the Make Mine a Million competition in New York City.

Kelli LaPage, owner of WellTrail, was selected as a winner from among 72 entrants from 11 states. The business owners participated in a pitch competition before a panel of judges including past winners of the contest and small business experts.

The competition is an initiative of Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence and American Express OPEN. It’s designed to help women entrepreneurs grow their companies to $1 million in revenue.

The winners receive six months of free coaching in Count Me In’s business accelerator program, a one-year legislative membership to Women Impacting Public Policy, and more.

WellTrail provides onsite wellness programs for employers.
