  • Anaren profit jumps on space and defense sales

    Anaren, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANEN) earned $2.5 million during its fiscal second quarter, up more than 56 percent from a year earlier.
    The company earned 17 cents a share for the quarter, which ended Dec. 31. That's up from 11 cents a share in the same period in 2008.

  • Lockheed profit up slightly in Q4 to $827 million

    Profit at Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) rose less than 1 percent in the fourth quarter to $827 million, or $2.17 per share.
    The defense contractor earned $823 million, or $2.05 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2008. Net sales in the fourth quarter of 2009 totaled $12.5 billion, up 13 percent from a year earlier.

  • Bristol-Myers Squibb profit rises on after-tax gain

    Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (NYSE: BMY) today announced earnings of $8 billion, or $4.06 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter.
    The net earnings included a $7.2 billion, or $3.62 per share, after-tax gain attributed to the spinoff of Mead Johnson Nutrition Co. (NYSE: MJN).
